No actually. It's redish underneath but they but a silver layer on top to try to make it look like chainmail (or however it's spelled).

If it had been Gup it would have most likely gone something like this:
Gid is actually wearing an Epic Silithid Carapace Chestguard, its plate with 990 Armor, +17 Strength, +14 Agility, +23 Stamina and has the chance to stun the target for 20 seconds.

Then we would have clearly known it was Gup posting.

But the Gup of Arcadia days would have been (at least *thinking*) of exactly what stats could be associated with this particular costume. I have to agree with Bribaby a little.
